Comic fair

There's a comic fair coming to Cheltenham which I'd like to do prints for.... bit stuck on ideas though....

Tank Girl-

mock poster
I also have taken notes of people who I find interesting in Cheltenham (fashion wise) so have made a few sketches to bring them to life.
- Old mother hubbard selling flowers, wearing an apron and a scarf over her head.
-Punk girl with a pie hat, tartan trousers that end above the ankle, green socks and black low Dr Martens.
-Girl wearing black coat and jeans with a bright red scarf on.
-Big mother with tin child who's sucking its thumb.
-A woman pushing another in a wheelchair, who is reading a Next catalog on the table joined onto the wheelchair.
-Man riding bike with girlfriend sat on the back, sideways (on the bag attachment).

RISO print

Pictures to hang

I hope for these images to be hung in the cafe I work at.
in a white frame

in a dark wooden frame

Picota Cherry

We had a live brief from Pink Sky http://pinkskydesign.com (19)to create a promotional poster for the Picota Cherry.
The Spanish Picota cherry is grown on the terraced slopes of the Jerte Valley, which lies South-West of Madrid in the Cáceres region.

I created several designs including a grampa picking cherries and handing them down to his grandson.
In the end i chose a woman in a cherry red dress.

BTP

I’ve not been very proactive finding work experience as i find it kind of daunting,  and finding the right people to email is proving even harder after you think you have the right contact but its actually just the printing store.

At the cafe I work at, BTP, they’ve brought in postcards that feature the shop front, and each store (there’s one in my hometown Barnstaple) has a ‘portrait’ of the cafe.

I have a feeling its artist Jo Mortimer, as she has done numerous building illustrations... but I’m in the process to confirm that.
THROUGHOUT DECEMBER

Exhibition & 'live painting' on Mondays at

The Boston Teaparty
Exeter.

This is how I found her name.

The postcards are printed through Puck studios in East London. (http://www.puckstudio.co.uk)(21)

Hello,
I work at your Cheltenham branch and am currently a second year Illustration student.
Boston Tea Party has numerous visual aids to promote and decorate the company and stores, and I’m interested in finding work experience within BTP.
Thanks,
Naomi.
