Typography and events

For the poster brief, we wanted to make educational posters that inspired young minds. We thought about KS1 students but realised that the language was too restrictive, so we looked into KS2 students. The posters would be hung in the classroom, so we looked up reading books that were recommended on the KS2 reading list. We each took an author and chose a quote from their books.
we looked at colour palettes and this one caught our eye.
we linked up on various social sites to communicate ideas and the process. (Facebook on left, Pinterest on right). It was quick and easy to show ideas and get reviews on our draft designs.

Here’s an example if the inspirational posters that we liked the typography or design.
Emily Clout made us our own logos to be used on our own pieces of work, but are similar to be used in a collaborative way.

Together they make a pastel circle to show unity, but with the different colours and styles to symbolise uniqueness and differences between people.

The posters in a classroom scene and our unveiling of them to the children...
